21 Day Fix Review

I must admit, I LOVE the 21 Day Fix!!

It’s the first time EVER that I was able to lose 10 lbs and 9 inches in a month. I have tried and tried countless times and never succeeded. But with this program, I was successful.

What I liked was the sheer focus I had. I only had 21 days to get beach ready and that clarity kept me in line.¬†For a full 21 days I stuck to the program – except for 3 missed exercise days due to illness and serious cramps. I didn’t stray from the eating plan and even resisted food at a Justin Timberlake concert, a baby shower and a birthday. The length of program helped me to really stick to it. It’s only 21 days after all.

The Exercise

I’ve done many Beachbody programs before and this is one of my favourites. The workouts are only 30 min. I didn’t feel like I was going to die while doing them and I definitely felt sore the next day, which meant it was working!! Autumn is a great trainer and she motivating to watch.
I’m really not a fan of ab exercises. But one of my ¬†favourite aspects about the program was that every workout really worked the core, without having to do crazy amount of sit-ups. Even though I dislike working the core, a strong core always makes me feel stronger, leaner and sexier.

The Meal Plan

When I first saw the containers, I thought “holy smokes, I’m going to starve!!” They look really small. But they are deceiving. They actually pack a good amount of food. The good news is – I was never hungry!
As with anything new, there was a bit of a learning curve. But once I got a hang of it, it was really easy to consistently make healthy choices.

Round 2!!

After my initial round, I went to Cuba for a much needed vacation. I of course drank and ate to my heart’s content. It’s vacation after all. It’s amazing how tired and bloated I felt! It didn’t matter too much cause the only thing I had to do was lie by the pool, but it re-enforced how important eating properly is. Especially when you need energy throughout the day.

Anyways, that vacation was back in March and since then I’ve maintained the loss. BUT my wedding is coming up and I want to lose some more inches so I’m doing another round just to help me feel extra pretty on my wedding day.

This program really is a great way to either kickstart something new or to get to where you want fast! :)
